Insurance Premium Installments Deferred
The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) is announcing that insurance premium installment payments due for March, April and May for the current policy year may be deferred until June 1, 2020, at which time the matter will be reconsidered. This applies to public and private employers. BWC will not lapse (cancel) coverage or assess penalties for amounts not paid because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Anthem and SOCA are very pleased to announce that the Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance (SOCA) Benefit Plan is making room for sole proprietors. An eligible sole proprietor must: 1. Meet underwriting requirements. 2.Work more than 30 hours per week (documentation required). 3. Submit a cover page for Form 1040 with Schedule C or Form 1040 with Schedules F and SE. Regulations limit sole proprietor membership to 10 percent of total SOCA Benefit Plan membership.

Oxford Museum Association 513.523.8005- The 2020 coronavirus has created a serious impact worldwide and, in the lives and businesses of our Oxford Community. As you face this year of challenges so does the Oxford Museum Association. In light of the many confinements, curtailments, cancellations; including our Annual Meeting on March 18th, Miami University Commencement May 16th and Alumni Weekend June 13-14th, the Oxford Museum Association is making difficult decisions. For 55 continuous years we have looked forward to the Hueston Woods Arts & Crafts Fair planned for June 13-14. To assure the health and safety of our exhibitors, guests and volunteers we are cancelling this major fundraiser.

Oxford Music Academy 513.255.9022- Our office and studios are closed for in-person appointments, but our instructors are all giving online lessons. 

Oxford Parks and Recreation 513.523.6314- We are taking donations to help with activities while kids are home from school.

Oxford Seniors 513.523.8100- Neither Oxford Seniors nor our Community Adult Day Service are open, still under Governor’s shut-down orders.  We expect that we will not reopen for a minimum of several more weeks. We continue to provide Meals on Wheels, and we are meeting with the hospital next week to plan transitioning back to having them prepare hot meals daily. Transportation services also continue, as do our supportive social work services, the latter by phone or computer viewing. We can provide emergency frozen or self-stable food deliveries for those 60 and older. We can transport those in Greater Oxford to local appointments and grocercy. NOW AVAILABLE:  Rides beginning at 6:45 A.M. to Kroger M-T-W-TH only. One rider at a time; must reserve ride at least 24 hours in advance. Health insurance assistance & other “red tape” troubleshooting by phone or on-line appointments. Durable medical equipment lending closet still available – donation requested. Yesterday, Talawanda served meals to over 300 students and the Backpack volunteers are gearing up to serve this many or more on Friday.
